Você já pensou na diferença que existe entre fé e fidelidade? Pensamos muitas vezes que por termos fé em Deus, automaticamente temos fidelidade nele.
Em Daniel cap 3, temos a história dos três jovens hebreus que não adoram a estátua de Nabucodonosor, porque Deus declarou que não deveriam adorar outros deuses.
Quando o rei soube da rebeldia desses jovens, ameaçou jogá-los em uma fornalha ardente para ver que Deus salvaria eles então.
Os três jovens demonstraram fé em Deus, declarando que Ele os livraria das mãos do rei e do fogo, porém demonstraram fidelidade apenas quando disseram que mesmo que se Deus não os livrassem, mesmo assim não serviriam aos deuses do rei e nem adorariam as imagens.
A fé é “Deus pode me livrar” e a fidelidade é “Mesmo que ele não me livre, continuarei servindo a ele” A fidelidade é essencial para nossas vidas, a fidelidade é uma fé maior do que a própria fé.
A fidelidade é ser a sua fé em Deus e não nas coisas que ele faz, significa que Deus é a fonte, Deus é a origem, Deus é o seu senhor.
“Porquanto, ainda que a figueira não floresça, nem haja fruto na viera; o produto da oliveira minta, e os campos não produzam mantimento; as ovelhas da malhada sejam arrebatadas, e nos currais não haja vacas, todavia, eu me alegrarei no Senhor, exultarei no Deus da minha salvação.” Habacuque 3:17-19
Have faith without being faithful
Have you ever thought about the difference between faith and fidelity? We often think that because we have faith in God, we automatically have fidelity in Him.
In Daniel chapter 3, we have the story of the three young Hebrews who do not worship the statue of Nebuchadnezzar, because God declared that they should not worship other gods.
When the king heard about the rebellion of these young men, he threatened to throw them into a fiery furnace to see what God would save them then.
The three young men showed faith in God, declaring that they believed that God would free them from the hands of the king and fire, but they only showed fidelity when they said that even if God did not free them, they still would not serve or worship the king’s gods.
Faith is “God can free me” and fidelity is “Even if he doesn’t free me, I will continue to serve him.” Fidelity is essential in our lives, fidelity is a faith greater than faith itself.
Fidelity is having your faith in God himself, and not in the things he does, it means that God is the source, God is the origin, God is your master.
“Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls, Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation”. Habakkuk 3: 17-19
