Pensando nas duas palavras de que da nossa palavra “ansiedade”, A ânsia é o desejo de colocar para fora as coisas ruins que estão dentro, mas o que é o Anseio?
O anseio é a vontade de colocar para dentro, coisas boas que estão ao nosso redor. Nos salmos 42, e 63, vemos a palavra ansiedade sendo usada nesse contexto, representando a vontade de buscar coisas boas, desejando a presença de Deus, querendo o amor.
No anseio queremos compaixão, misericórdia e perdão. Na ânsia, você quer ser ver livre do ódio, da amargura e da falta de perdão. Na ânsia você quer se ver livre do velho homem, no anseio você quer se revestir do novo homem.
O lado positivo da ansiedade é querer colocar para dentro o que existe no coração de Deus, a bondade, a virtude, o amor, a fidelidade, tudo que revela o caráter de Cristo.
Uma história que se encaixa nessa situação é a de um pastor que me chamou preocupado com a sua Igreja, dizendo que Deus os havia abandonado, ouvindo esse relato eu dei risada e disse “Se Deus realmente tivesse abandonado a sua Igreja, nem preocupado com a sua presença você estaria.”
O anseio é querer mais de Deus, não para que você se sinta culpado, quer dizer que o Espírito Santo está agindo dentro de nós, para fazer seu trabalho. Quando a presença de Deus vem, coisas boas se manifestarão em nós, através de nós e apesar de nos.
The positive side of anxiety
Thinking of the two words we related to “anxiety”, Eagerness is the desire to put out the bad things that are inside, but what is Yearning?
The yearning is the desire to put inward, good things that are around us. In Psalms 42, and 63, we see the word anxiety being used in this context, representing the will to seek good things, wanting the presence of God, wanting love.
In Yearning we want compassion, mercy and forgiveness. In Eagerness, you want to get rid of hatred, bitterness and unforgiveness. In Eagerness you want to get rid of the old man, in Yearning you want to put on the new man.
The positive side of anxiety is wanting to put inward what is in the heart of God, goodness, virtue, love, faithfulness, everything that reveals the character of Christ.
A story that fits this situation is of a pastor who came to me concerned about his Church, saying that God had abandoned them, I was listening to him and I laughed and said “If God had really abandoned your Church, you would not me worried about his presence”
The Yearning is to want more from God, not to make you feel guilty. It means that the Holy Spirit is working within us, doing his job. When the presence of God comes, good things will manifest in us, through us and despite us.
